Sleep Satisfaction Tool®

The Sleep Satisfaction Tool® is a first-of-its-kind, empirically derived and validated measure of positive, satisfactory experiences with sleep.

Key features of the Sleep Satisfaction Tool:

  • Designed intentionally to assess the general population’s sleep satisfaction, as opposed to individuals with disordered sleep.
  • Methodologically rigorous measurement development including: systematic literature review, expert consensus panel, qualitative investigation, cognitive interviewing, factor analyses, and national testing.
  • The only measure of sleep satisfaction informed by both expert opinion and public opinion.
  • Demonstrated reliability and validity across diverse samples.
  • Ability to distinguish between demographic groups.
  • Simple 9-item measure. Intuitive 0-100 scoring, with higher scores being indicative of higher sleep satisfaction.
