Sleep Health Equity Webinar Details

About

People of color in the U.S. are disproportionately affected by social determinants of health and experience subsequent inequities in a host of important outcomes, including sleep health, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and mortality.

Members of Congress, staff, and interested stakeholders will hear from an expert panel about the causes and consequences of sleep health disparities, steps needed to promote sleep health equity, and what Congress can do to accelerate this important work.

Building on NSF’s Sleep Health Equity Position Statement, this briefing seeks to elucidate the social determinants of sleep health and suggest actionable steps and recommendations for policymakers toward sleep health equity.
