At Primasun, we believe sleep is the foundation of health. It restores our bodies, energizes our days, and enriches our communities. When we sleep well, we can rediscover the world through rested eyes and achieve a better quality of life.
But good sleep doesn’t always come easy, especially for people of color. That’s why we’re supporting the National Sleep Foundation’s Sleep Awareness Week® and their work to help achieve sleep health equity. Our goal: to educate people on the severity of untreated sleep disorders and invite everyone to join Primasun in paving a more equitable path to sleep care.

There’s no better feeling than waking up from a good night’s rest refreshed and energized.
But for the nearly 50-70 million people across the country who suffer from a sleep disorder, this isn’t always the case. In fact, people of color are twice as likely to have a sleep disorder.
If you suffer from a sleep disorder, you might wake up still feeling tired—with grogginess lingering throughout the day. Under the surface, sleep disorders could be depriving your body of the rest it needs, ultimately putting you at greater risk of experiencing chronic conditions like type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, and depression.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
At Primasun, we’re awakening a sleep health movement to empower happier, healthier lives.
For too long, barriers to care—including lack of education, too few sleep specialists, and a long pathway to diagnosis and treatment—have meant people don’t receive the life-altering clinical sleep care they deserve.

- Educating individuals about the importance of sleep. We provide the resources so individuals can develop a healthier relationship with their sleep.
- Engaging the entire industry to build an efficient and equitable pathway to care. We connect patients to specialists via telemedicine to improve access to care, and provide ongoing support no matter where they are on their journey.
- Empowering everyone to join us in making sleep the medicine everyone can access. We encourage employers and healthcare professionals to prioritize addressing sleep health across communities, and support them with the resources to do so.
