How AYO is Supporting Circadian Health and Sleep

As part of Sleep Awareness Week®, we welcome the contributions and perspectives of our sponsors. National Sleep Foundation (NSF) recognizes our Sleep Awareness Week 2023 Sponsors for their support of our sleep health mission and notes the information provided below does not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of NSF.
In today’s fast-paced world, some people often prioritize work over sleep, sacrificing our well-being in the process. Some of us stay up late, work long hours, and expose ourselves to artificial light at night, disrupting our circadian rhythm. This rhythm is part of our 24-hour internal clock and it regulates almost all of our brain and body functions, including the sleep-wake cycle, hormone production, and metabolism. AYO understands that living out of sync with our circadian rhythm can lead to various health issues, from sleep disorders and fatigue, to depression and chronic diseases like obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
There are some simple but powerful things you can do to stay aligned with your circadian rhythm, like establishing consistent sleep and wake times, getting (or limiting) light at the right times of day, and keeping to a regular schedule of mealtimes and exercise.
Implementing these habits might be new to you, but it’s worth the effort. By understanding and prioritizing your circadian alignment, you can improve your sleep and health. Now, there also are technological advances that offer innovative approaches to help improve your health through circadian science.
Novalogy Inc. is a US-EU company dedicated to improving sleep and health outcomes. Our flagship product, AYO, is the first wearable device based on scientific research that works together with the power of circadian light therapy and the user’s own biology. A Word from the National Sleep Foundation
When we talk about circadian rhythms, it’s mostly in relation to sleep. That’s because when our circadian rhythm is out of sync, our sleep is, too. Without the right signals from your body’s internal master clock, you might not fall asleep, have fragmented sleep, or wake up too early and not be able to fall back to sleep. NSF also recognizes Novology as an inaugural SleepTech® Circle Sponsor of Sleep Awareness Week.
